What: In its seventh year, Brassmas is a celebration and coming together of brass players of all ages and playing levels to celebrate Christmas. Professional, amateur, collegiate, high, middle and elementary school brass players have all participated ranging from ages 9 to 74. The Triangle Youth Brass Band Program is hosting Brassmas for its fifth year.  Conductor Tony Granados and Brassmas founder, Mark Norman are back to direct the Brassmas Ensemble. All brass players are welcome.

One of the main components of this event is to include a clinic for brass players, which will be of interest to all brass players, and will be a nice break from rehearsing. The performance will be at the Progress Energy Center in downtown Raleigh. The concert is outside, so you will need to dress warm, bring your own music stand, and be prepared to stand up to play. Lighting may also be low.

This year's Brassmas will include a special clinic on Auditions and Sight Reading, given by Guests Kevin Geraldi and Mark Norman. This will certainly be of interest to students looking into All District and College auditions.
