Brassmas is an event open to all brass players of any age and ability. It is a community oriented event designed to bring together brass players to rehearse and perform songs of the season as well as to share ideas and information about brass playing in general.
Designed by Mark Norman (Washburn University), this one day event will include an afternoon of rehearsals and clinic, a public performance, and the Triangle Brass Band Holiday Pops Concert at Fletcher Opera Theater in Raleigh.
Special Guest Ryan Sharp (Trumpet) will perform, conduct and present a clinic for all participants, as well as perform as soloist with the Triangle Brass Band on the evening Holiday Pops concert. (bio)
Registration for participants is $15 and will include all events for the day (rehearsal and performance with the Brassmas Mass Ensemble, and one ticket to the Triangle Brass Band Concert).

** The performance will be OUTDOORS, in front of the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. Be prepared for cold weather, and to stand up to play.
You MUST bring your own MUSIC STAND
Parking at the Progress Energy Center will be tough. I recommend dropping performaers off at Fletcher and searching for parking in the pay lots surrounding the hall, or in the hotels across the street.
Fletcher Theater is on the East end of the Progress Energy Center, to the left of memorial Hall as you are looking at the building from the front.
We will have an area inside suitable to store instrument cases, if need be, but it might be best to keep them in the car for the performance.
